I’m not sure where to begin.
We saw Dr. Campbell today at CHOP, and we really liked him. There are still many questions to be answered about Evangeline’s back and whether or not she will require surgery right away or later.
Her spine is extremely complicated with major deformity, and Dr. Campbell cannot believe she can even walk when he looks at her spine. He ordered a CAT Scan, more X-rays, pulmonary tests, and several other things that need to be sorted out before he will be able to advise us about how to proceed.
Then we saw Urology and there is much to be sorted out there too.
Evangeline is a very spunky child. It is just amazing that she is doing as well as she is considering all the things she has been dealing with.
As I watched her today, I kept thinking of the story of the Bumblebee.
Scientists and aeronautical engineers all submit that based on the size and proportion of the bumblebee and its tiny wing span, the bumblebee should not be able to fly. But the bumblebee flies, because God said it could.
And so does Evangeline,
because God created her to fly.
And fly she does.
I want to write all about sweet Eliza and the leaps and bounds of progress she’s making, but I am just too tired tonight.
Soon.
Blessings!
This sounds very familiar ! You are welcome to email me. We went through the pulmonary function stuff too.
