I sit here amidst the rhythm of the inflating and deflating of the circulation bands that keep Evangeline’s tiny legs and feet oxygenated as she lays still, drugged to a stupor to be relieved of the pain she bears. The hum of the vacuum that drains her wound provides white noise, and even peace, […] Read more…
A Good Day!
I’m sorry I am just now getting to let you know how everything’s going. It’s been a busy day with doctors, and support staff. And Mark is here so I have been enjoying him too.
Evangeline had a good night. She has been mostly sleeping due to the morphine and the Valium, without which, she […] Read more…
Worth a post all of its own!

In the PICU
Evangeline is calm. The morphine has settled her pain, she is resting.
We have a lovely single room with a great view.
And she can move her legs.
God is good.

Thank you for your prayers.
Blessings!

Thanks for your prayers!

The nurse has come out every hour, but until now there wasn’t much happening. Now is the crucial time as they try to straighten […] Read more…
Spinal Fusion
Evangeline is in surgery today for her spine. It has been falling quickly as she has grown since coming home, and has fallen to 117*. She has a rare condition called diastomatemyelia, which is a deformity where the spinal column splits and is pierced by a boney spur.
Many of you know that the […] Read more…
