Today we went to Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Davidson removed Evangeline’s stitches, and I shared my concerns about the surgery with him. I really don’t think he realized how well she can walk. He has so many patients with Spina Bifida that he sees, and Evangeline is really not a typical Spina Bifida patient.

Long Day Tomorrow
Tomorrow we go back to CHOP again in the morning for the orthopedic doctor to remove the stitches in Evangeline’s foot. We have decided that we will get a second opinion before scheduling surgery, and either way, I think we have decided to postpone indefinitely surgery on her good foot. She does too well […] Read more…
Difficulties
I know things have been pretty slow around here for the past few days.
All of our children are homeschooled except our oldest son, Andrew. He attends a local Christian School and is in his Senior year. He has not been envolved in many extra-curricular activities, but has loved drama. He was in a […] Read more…

Tomorrow we go to see the orthopedic doctors for Evangeline’s foot. The doctor is going to take out her stitches. He did not use the dissolvable kind because he was afraid of infection.

She likes routines, and gets very upset when things don’t happen on time.
And, after six weeks, I have to […] Read more…

We saw infectious disease yesterday for her bone infection. Her blood work looked wonderful.
Her foot is healing, and she will go back on Wednesday to have her stitches taken out. The dr. usually uses stitches that dissolve, but since he is dealing with […] Read more…
Living The Miracle

Our youngest daughter, Olivia, was only three months old when God began to really break our hearts for the fatherless. Olivia turned three in August, and the very next month, we brought home BOTH of […] Read more…

It was hard for me too.
Mark took the children to Nutcracker rehearsal this afternoon, and I kept Eliza, Evangeline, and Olivia with me. The girls needed shoes for Church, and since Eliza had been doing so well, we thought she might enjoy getting a new pair of […] Read more…
