Tomorrow we go back to CHOP again in the morning for the orthopedic doctor to remove the stitches in Evangeline’s foot. We have decided that we will get a second opinion before scheduling surgery, and either way, I think we have decided to postpone indefinitely surgery on her good foot. She does too well with it now to have it flop around with no tendons.
Evangeline will also have an MRI of her spine tomorrow afternoon. We are eager to learn about the condition of her spine. After we discuss de-tethering with the neurosurgeon, we will see a world re-known doctor who uses veptrs to stabilize the back and allow for growth.
She is doing very well. I notice more orneriness and petulant behaviors than I did before. I think that is good because it shows she is feeling really secure in our love. She is sometimes so childish and at other times seems so capable beyond her years.
Eliza is doing well too. She is definitely more comfortable with us now and our routine. She has shown us this month how capable she is with her written language. So we are learning more bits and pieces of who she is.
Here’s a picture of all of us except for Evan around our table. He was taking the picture. Notice that smile on Eliza’s face. That’s been a while coming at the dinner table.
Evangeline may not be able to walk, but she can stand on her hands!
And here’s a picture of our pretty Olivia!
Blessings!
We really need to coordinate our appts better 🙂 we were there last Thursday. Some day I am sure we will be there on the same day! Prayers for today as you make decisions.
