Adoption

God Alone

A long time ago, I came to the realization that my biggest responsibility as a Christian was to pray.
I don’t mean that we never need to act, or step out in faith to meet the needs of others. We do. We are called to pour out our lives for others, to meet their needs […] Read more…

Our Evangeline

In an earlier post, I wrote about Eliza’s name. You can read that post here.
I never really officially shared about Evangeline’s name since from the time we got PA until now, our lives have been like a whirl wind. Everything moved so quickly that our heads were spinning. We just sort of threw her name […] Read more…

Here it is!

Some of you have asked me to post my little soliloquy that I spoke in church. We needed to stick to ten minutes, so we had to be brief.
So, here it is. Thank you for your prayers!!!
“As many of you know, we are adopting two young girls from China. We’d like to share briefly […] Read more…

Update

******The Moghadam’s blog has been removed. There were people who had posted terribly unkind comments on their blog. Please pray for this family who has suffered so much already.*******

Sadness

I am sad today.
I don’t even know if I will publish this, but I am a writer. When I am riddled with emotions and feelings and need clarity, I write.
I write from confusion, from longing, from a deep ache inside clamoring for expression.
And today, the hurts just seem too heavy, and perhaps, […] Read more…

The Real World

The past few months have been a whirlwind for our family. The children have been finishing up school. We’ve had ballet performances, and I’ve had a lot of sewing to do. We fell very hard for sweet “Melanie,” and began working to adopt her in April, and have really been on some sort of emotional […] Read more…

A New Video

This is a video an advocate made of Evangeline when they were looking for her family. It is now updated with our information on the end.
The advocate is working on getting it uploaded to YouTube. In the mean time I thought I’d post it here in the Roxio version.
Enjoy.
And please share.
I do,
again and again and […] Read more…

Care Packages

Wow!
With our new agency, we can send care packages as soon as we get PA!
We are so excited!
Since this is our first adoption, and we are adopting older girls, I need some advice on what we should send.
I’ve heard a blanket is a great idea, but in the summer?
I’m thinking of making a little picture […] Read more…
