Just saw dr Campbell. She did not lose function of her legs! Her spine looks much straighter. I can have copies of x ray’s tomorrow. We will not know how she can manage the stiffness of the spine until she can stand. He did not go all the way down to her hip bones because they are so deformed she would not be able to stand. He is hopeful that her lower spine can handle the fusion above it. A lot of this is wait and see. She’s going to intensive care in a while.
Her lower spine could be at a big risk of it can’t accommodate the pressure and rigidity above it. It’s a wait and see until she can stand.
She’s awake and asking for me.
