As I look back into the early days of trying to adopt Evangeline, there are a few people who stand out in my mind as really having encouraged me to step out in faith and to trust God to bring Evangeline home even though the circumstances really made it look impossible.

If you were following our story then, you will remember my blog post, The WHOLE Story, where I shared about how we had to leave our agency and start over completely with a new agency in order to adopt her. Our decision to commit to adopting Evangeline was a leap of faith like none other in our lives.

The agency, Lifeline, who committed to helping us adopt Evangeline did not have her file, and we waited for what seemed to me like an eternity for Evangeline’s file to be transferred to Lifeline.

I remember that weekend like it was yesterday. We were in Ohio at Mark’s parents fiftieth wedding anniversary celebration, and the waiting seemed unbearable.

One of the people who encouraged me and prayed with us was Angie Rylands. Angie is the new director at Lifeline in South Carolina. Angie blogs at The Rylands Family.

The Rylands family is working to bring home their two newest sons from China. This week they are the featured family at Give1Save1Asia. Please head on over and support Tom and Angie as they have stepped out in faith again to bring home two older boys.

Angie and her family have worked tirelessly and faithfully to bring home their boys, but they are still thousands short for travel expenses and orphanage donations. Please consider helping them in whatever way you can!

Blessings!
