We came home from the hospital last night.
Evangeline is having quite a bit of pain in her left foot, but she is doing well. Mark carries her from bed to couch to wheelchair.
We’re praying she has some relief from the pain soon because she has a long day of appointments at CHOP on […] Read more…
De-coding Sweet Eliza
On January 12th, we will have had Eliza with us for four months.
As many of you know, getting to know Eliza has been difficult. It seems like I have been trying to understand her and figure out who she is inside since the very first moment we met her, and while there are still […] Read more…
First Update
The nurse just came out and said Evangeline is doing fine. They are still working on her right foot, and then will move on to the left when they’re finished with the right.
Here are a few pictures of Evangeline before the nurses took her back.
She was fine all afternoon and did not seem […] Read more…

I took Evangeline to CHOP today for her checkup for her broken leg. It appears to be healing, but the doctor will decide tomorrow during her surgery if he will continue to require it to be immobilized.

I’m tired, but I need to be here. […] Read more…
Thriving In the Trenches
Today has been another demanding day with the girls.
If I say we’re going to have lunch, they say they’re not hungry. If I say we need to wash our hands, they say, “No.”
If I ask them to do their English on the computer, as soon as I walk out of the room, they […] Read more…
Our Sweet Girls
It is late. I just posted a new page on my blog linking sermons from a favorite speaker, and our homeschool beckons me first thing on Monday mornings, but I really want to update you on this new stage we are in with the girls.
Before I begin, I want to say the girls are […] Read more…
Thankful
I woke early this morning.
David had come in with a nightmare around four, and then little Olivia climbed in on top of us too. While I was warm and toasty, I was terribly cramped and my mind was ablaze with all the wonderful things God has done in our lives, and all the things […] Read more…
