Evangeline has been awake sporadically since around 6pm. She does still have some sensation in her right leg which is a good sign, but she has no function in it.

Things Aren’t Good
Things did not go well. She lost the use of her right leg. Surgeon does not know if feeling and function will return. We are praying it will.

Surgery Tomorrow
We have been getting all ready to leave bright and early Monday morning for Evangeline’s surgery. She is first on the list.
She had to have a hot soapy bath, be all washed down with antibacterial wipes and be put to bed in freshly washed pajamas and linens.

Yesterday I took Evangeline up to Children’s for her pre-op appointment.
At this point she is first on the schedule for Monday. Dr. Sutton will remove the bone in her spine, and then she’ll go directly to the intensive care unit.

Our Very Long Day
Today I took Evangeline to CHOP for her appointment to be fitted for braces. I took all the girls with me, and we waited for hours.
